Overview

The Director of Marketing is responsible for proposing and implementing marketing plans that promote revenue generation among key targeted segments: Transient hotel guests, Food and Beverage and support the unique  brand positioning of each property’s image at the Cavalier Resort.  This will include leveraging and executing social media and website strategies in partnership with appropriate corporate brand marketing as well as hotel revenue management to achieve brand position and revenue growth goals.

Responsibilities

· Develop marketing strategies, campaign and efforts and annual marketing budgets. Marketing plans should be annual, seasonal and by segment of deployment inclusive of cost and deployment strategies (traditional, digital, and/or social media).

· Adjust the marketing plan throughout the year as-needed based on performance data and demand/marketing shifts

· Manage the strategic direction and execution of marketing-specific assets and content, including but not limited to: Website Content, 3rd Party Site Content, Social Media Content, Digital & Traditional Advertising, Photography and Videography

· Coordinates and oversees all website and collateral production Oversee development and implementation of digital and print media, creative, and photography for Hotel, Sales & Catering, and Food & Beverage

· Works with Revenue Management to utilize reporting and data when making strategic decisions focused on optimizing performance.

· Measure and report impact return on investment on all tactical marketing programs t.

· Generate and deliver monthly marketing analyses and updates to Sales, F&B, and Revenue Management,

· Coordinate with Marketing Agency and CVB and host visiting writers and social media influencers to maximize opportunities and exposure

· Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to ensure projects are completed in timely manner and with proper messaging and design direction

· Participates in branding discussions and monitors brand cohesiveness through all marketing materials.

· Provide regular and effective updates to the VP of Sales & Marketing and Managing Director on the performance of the department during 1-1 meetings as well as participation in the standing Executive Committee meetings

Qualifications

Type Qualification
Experience Knowledge and experience with HTML and Adobe Creative Cloud programs-Photoshop, Premier and Dreamweaver.
Experience Experience managing social media marketing-Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and Google+.
Experience Initiative to stay current with best practices for online marketing for the hospitality.
Experience 5+ years experience in digital and traditional marketing channels, managing campaigns.
Experience CHDME designation a plus.
Experience Expert knowledge of SEO/SEM and best practices.
Experience Excellent written communication skills and self motivator.
