Overview

Responsible for the overall operation of the Cavalier Resort Complex parking garages the Marriott arrival experience and the Associate transportation program including vehicles, shuttles, etc.  The Parking Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring maximum utilization of parking spaces, maximum revenue capture, and leads the effort to implement contingency parking plans for associates, guests, and visitors; including driveway contingency parking plan, street level contingency parking plan, alternative ramp parking plan and overflow parking.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall garage operations at the Marriott and Cavalier hotel.
  • Tracks daily results by segmentation to better understand usage by customer as well as length of stays.
  • Executes the Valet and parking Operating plans.
  • Develops a Weekly Parking Strategy Plan in coordination with the GM, Night Managers, Hotel Manager, Catering and Sales Managers, Restaurant Managers, etc., assessing business levels and developing strategy each day.
  • Controls access to the parking spaces on peak days utilizing a vehicle screening process before vehicles park.
  • Hires, trains, and schedules Arrival Coordinators at the Marriott, transportation drivers, and the Bell Team at the Marriott, ensuring customer service Meets business plan expectations.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all transportation vehicles and scheduling the transportation staff.
  • Ensures that Parking, Arrivals, Transportation and Bell Team have all the tools, reports, information, and communication needed for them to operate at effectively and efficiently.
  • Works with IT and Property Operations to ensure the garages are clean, well maintained and that the gate systems are functioning properly. Also coordinates with Property Operations on the maintenance and upkeep of the Campus Transportation Vehicles.
  • Oversees the administrative and relationship function of parking for 42 Ocean residents.
  • Tracks, issues, controls all aspects of the parking access including FOBs, Key Cards, Validations, etc.
  • Parking Operations Manager is the subject matter expert on all parking systems for the Cavalier Resort Complex.
  • Maintains positive relationships with operators of off-site parking facilities ( used when garages are full
  • Ensures associates comply with parking  
  • Manages the hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, corrective coaching and management of the Marriott Arrivals Coordinators and the Marriott Bell Persons, as well as assists with the staffing, training and coordination needs of the Embassy and Cavalier Hotels’ Arrival, Valet, and Bell teams.
  • Participates in the development of the annual parking budget and as well as meeting budgeted revenue expectations while at the same time managing expenses within budgeted guidelines.
  • Analyzing the sources of business and yielding the most profitable business model considering the long-term impact of those decisions.
  • Coordinates with Catering and Sales regarding parking availability and management of group and catering drive in business.
  • Coordinates the Pre-Sale of parking vouchers for large events/groups utilizing transaction stations on the second floor pre-function space.
  • Orders, stocks, and inventories all supplies management for all parking and garage needs
  • Performs Manager on Duty (MOD) role for Marriott hotel shifts in the absence of the GM/Managing Director or Night Manager.
  • Successfully complete other duties as assigned.
