Tarnished Truth Distilling Company (TTDC) is seeking a motivated and results-driven Distillery Sales Representative to drive sales growth across on-premise and off-premise accounts. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and industry stakeholders to expand TTDC’s footprint in assigned territories. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with a passion for craft spirits, strong sales acumen, and a deep understanding of the alcoholic beverage industry.
Sales & Business Development
• Achieve and exceed sales goals for TTDC’s spirits portfolio.
• Identify, target, and establish relationships with new on-premise and off-premise accounts to grow the brand presence.
• Conduct regular account visits, sales calls, and follow-ups to maintain relationships and drive reorders.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and strengthen existing territories.
• Provide product education, tastings, and staff training to enhance brand knowledge and increase sales at retail locations and on-premise venues.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide valuable insights to the sales and marketing teams.
Distributor & Account Management
• Collaborate with distributor partners to ensure proper product placement, inventory management, and promotional execution.
• Conduct regular meetings with distributors to align sales strategies, track performance, and optimize distribution efforts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Ensure pricing, promotions, and programming align with TTDC’s strategic objectives.
On-Premise Sales
• Pitch TTDC’s spirits and RTDs to beverage program managers, bartenders, and bar owners.
• Work with on-premise accounts to develop cocktail menus featuring TTDC products.
• Organize and lead tastings, brand activations, and promotional events to enhance visibility.
• Track and report sales performance, velocity, and sell-through rates for on-premise accounts.
Off-Premise Sales
• Secure new placements and optimize shelf space to increase brand visibility.
• Work with retailers on pricing, promotional programming, and merchandising strategies.
• Conduct in-store tastings and consumer engagement activations to drive sales.
• Maintain strong relationships with key retail buyers and store managers.
Marketing & Brand Representation
• Represent TTDC at industry events, trade shows, festivals, and tastings to build brand awareness and expand the customer base.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to implement brand initiatives and promotional campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of TTDC’s brand story, production methods, and competitive advantages to effectively communicate with customers.
Reporting & Analysis
• Track and report sales performance, account activity, and market insights using CRM or other reporting tools.
• Provide feedback to internal teams regarding account needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
• Work closely with the leadership team to forecast sales and develop strategies for growth.
Type / Qualification
Experience 3+ years in sales, preferably in the alcohol beverage industry (distilled spirits, beer, or wine.
Experience Understanding of the three-tier distribution system, alcohol laws, and regulations.
Experience Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts.
Skill Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
Skill Willingness to travel within assigned territory and attend industry events. Must be able to obtain a relevant solicitor’s permit in any state
Skill Candidate must reside in or near the territory
Skill Must be able to personally pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursed
Skill Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
